Meet The Chef At Greenes Restaurant Cork

Frederic Desormeaux

Paris born head chef with a classical French Cuisine training and experience in his native city at Fouquet’s Bastille Restaurant, he came to Ireland in 2000 after a further 7 years in London with the Mezzo Group of Wardour Street.

During three years in Spanish Point Restaurant, Frederic developed a flair for cooking quality, fresh Irish Seafood which he originally brought with him to Greenes Restaurant in 2003. He has become well known for his cuisine which is a mixture of Traditional French with South Mediterranean flavours/influences & has received various acclamations from Food & Wine Magazine, Paolo Tuillio & the Michelin Guide.

He rejoins Greenes Restaurant from February 2010 where he hopes to mark Greenes as a ‘Must Dine’ venue for all occasions in Cork City.

Lunch (Tuesday - Friday) 12.30h - 14.30h

Monday - Thursday: 18.00h - 22.00h

Friday and Saturday: 18.00h - 22.30h

Closed: Sundays except Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Jazz and all public holiday weekends.

Annual Christmas Closure: Open for Lunch 24th and closed all day 25th – 27th December inclusive, re-opens for Dinner at 6pm or 18.00 on Dec 28th.
